75F HyperStat Split is AHR Innovation Award Winner
75F is thrilled to announce the 75F HyperStat Split is the 2024 AHR Innovation Awards winner in the building automation category. The HyperStat Split enables contractors to upgrade RTUs with advanced rooftop control with unprecedented ease. Using only two existing wires from the RTU to the thermostat, HyperStat Split provides dual enthalpy economizer, demand-control ventilation, and VFD control. What’s more, an onboard PIR occupancy sensor enhances energy savings with auto away.
With eight onboard sensors for temperature, humidity, light, sound, CO2, VOCs, occupancy, and particulate matter, the HyperStat Split saves energy with advanced sequences, all without added installation complexity or cost.
HyperStat Split has two parts — the occupant interface in the zone, which collects sensor data, and a connect module. The connect module goes inside equipment such as an RTU or FCU and performs stage or modular control and can accept up to eight universal analog inputs. It also contains four analog outputs and eight relays. HyperStat Split can either be connected and controlled by a 75F Central Control Unit wirelessly via 75F’s proprietary 900 MHz wireless mesh network, purchased in a BACnet variant to communicate via BACnet MSTP, or it can be programmed to work in a standalone mode.
Devices like the HyperStat Split encourage the building controls industry to make two design considerations the norm. First, HyperStat Split’s ability to work with the existing two wires provided for a standard temperature sensor while still delivering advanced control sequences demonstrates that hardware can work with existing infrastructure without excessive complexity. Second, the device’s eight onboard sensors and native cloud connectivity for real-time analytics prove that rising demand for excellent indoor air quality management can be met in a straightforward, modern, and user-centric manner.
