75F® MyStat™ Just Got Even More Versatile: Introducing Standalone Mode
The 75F MyStat was built to bring smart, affordable zone control to the kinds of spaces that make up a huge share of the commercial building market — hotels, dorms, small offices, clinics, retail spaces. Compact hardware, built-in occupancy sensing, native 75F ecosystem integration, and a price point that makes sense for multi-unit applications. Now, with the addition of Standalone Mode, MyStat becomes an even more flexible option for contractors and equipment suppliers looking to deliver intelligent zone control across a wider range of projects.
What Standalone Mode Brings to the Table
The 75F MyStat now includes a built-in real-time clock, which means it can run a full 7-day schedule completely on its own — no additional hardware required to get it up and running. Equipment suppliers and contractors can package MyStat with new HVAC equipment for installs at sites that don't yet have a building automation system, and it works as a fully capable standalone thermostat from day one.
What makes that especially compelling is where it leads. Because MyStat is a native 75F device, every standalone install is automatically BAS-ready. When a customer decides they want to expand into a full building automation system — whether that's next year or five years from now — MyStat is already in place and ready to go. No rip-and-replace, no starting over. For roughly the same price as a standard standalone thermostat with occupancy, temperature, and humidity sensing, you're delivering a device that gives the customer a clear path to a full BAS whenever they're ready to take it.
Getting it set up is equally straightforward. Fully configured profiles for MyStat are available out of the box, and the thermostat can be configured using the free 75F app over a direct Bluetooth connection to the device — no additional hardware needed to commission it.
What The MyStat Does Every Day
The 75F MyStat monitors temperature, humidity, and occupancy in real time, with an optional CO₂ sensor available as well. When a space goes unoccupied, MyStat's Auto Away sequence pulls back conditioning automatically. When occupancy is detected outside of scheduled hours, Auto Force Occupied kicks in. That's intelligent, demand-driven conditioning running at the zone level — quietly doing its job without anyone needing to manually adjust a thing.
It connects to the 75F ecosystem via 75F's proprietary wireless mesh network, supports RS485 for wired BACnet and Modbus integration, and receives over-the-air firmware updates through the CCU once one is on site. Bluetooth LE also enables connections to additional wireless sensors like the 75F Wireless Door/Window Sensor and Wireless Multi Sensor when you're ready to expand the system further.
Where The MyStat Fits
The MyStat is well suited for multi-unit applications where the goal is reliable, intelligent zone control at a competitive price point — hotels and dorms with fan coil units or PTACs, small commercial buildings running rooftop package units, medical clinics, retail spaces, and any project in a 75F portfolio where right-sized control is the priority.
Standalone Mode expands that further. Any project where a contractor or equipment supplier wants to deliver a smart, occupancy-aware thermostat as part of a new equipment package — without requiring an existing BAS on site — is now a natural fit. Every one of those installs becomes a ready-made entry point into the broader 75F ecosystem the moment the customer is ready to go further.
