Yesterday, team 75F gave back to our community and connected with nature on World Environment Day. On June 5, people around the world chose to get outdoors and appreciate the world's beauty and importance. World Environment Day is the United Nations' call to protect the Earth and to take positive environmental action — activities have taken place every June 5 since 1974.
We worked with Senior Community Services, a local nonprofit organization that develops and provides services to help meet the needs of older adults. Our team participated in the organization's Household & Outside Maintenance for Elderly (HOME) program by tending yards and gardens for nine homes of elder persons in our community. The HOME project is a big help for elderly individuals who wish to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

As proud members of the United Nations Environment Program, Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI), we have built our business to help protect the environment and enable sustainable development. Our solution helps many types of commercial, retail and industrial buildings earn up to 38 different LEED v4 points and 11 credits through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)!
If you missed World Environment Day, we encourage you to get outside and connect with nature this week, and plan on it for next year! Check out the World Environment Day website for a list of several great ideas on how to participate!
