Minnesota is hosting a flurry of events in this week leading up to the Superbowl. For a twist blending sports and entrepreneurship, check out the Startup Capital of THE NORTH Showcase taking place Tuesday, January 30th, at the U of M McNamara Alumni Center from 3-6 PM, produced by MN Cup and Greater MSP. It will highlight leading MN startups, including the rapidly growing sports, student, and craft communities, plus select MN Cup participants.
As the 2014 MN Cup grand prize winner, 75F will kickoff the lineup of MN Cup winners and finalists presenting brief updates in the first portion of the event at 3:15 PM; others MN Cup presenting companies include, AUM Cardiovascular, JonnyPops, Rebiotix, Springboard for the Arts, StemoniX and When I Work. 75F will also be demo'ing in an expo area, along with the sports, student and craft exhibitors. The craft section should be popular, given that 7/8 of the craft exhibitors appear to offer beer or cider, unless Stratasys has found a way to 3D print beer too).
More than 800 attendees are registered for the event, but there's still room to join in. Register here.
