What wakes you up in the morning?
"Coffee first thing in the morning and green tea throughout the day. I am up at 4:30 a.m. every day for meetings with our India location, so I need an extra boost."
What do you enjoy most about your job?
"Coffee wakes me up, but what gets me out of bed is applying technology to complex business problems that leave our world better than we found it.
No matter how much I learn or how much technology we leverage, such as machine learning, I always feel as though we have barely scratched the surface of the potential. I continually look for ways to push the limits. The application of technology is not only exciting, but also needed to help make a difference for the future."
What’s unique and/or exciting about your role?
"There are very few roles that combine business and technical knowledge better than a leadership role in engineering. It is not possible to build a product, in a tech company or otherwise, without a deep understanding of the business, the domain, and most importantly, your customers. At the same time, I am a firm believer the best leaders are those who can perform the jobs of those whom they lead, so I strive to stay as technical as possible, even down to the framework and code level."
Do you have any personal life goals or dreams?
"At this point in my life, I feel very fortunate and content. I strive to continue learning as much as I can about the potential application of technology in solving business problems, particularly those that can make the world a better place."
Tell us about your hobbies outside of work.
"I used to road cycle quite a bit, but my wife and I bought cyclocross bikes, so we have been enjoying those whenever the weather permits. We also enjoy family walks to relax and get additional exercise.
During the summer months, my wife and I both own motorcycles and enjoy going for motorcycle rides. It is a great way to leave the hustle of work life behind and refocus."
What’s next for you and 75F?
"2020 has been a challenging situation for people and companies, given the current COVID-19 situation.
Personally, being at home has been a reminder of what is important and that I need to allow time for my family, as well as myself.
For 75F, we recently launched our new technology platform, which expands our product capabilities substantially. Throughout 2020, we will be continuing to build on top of the this platform, putting ourselves lightyears ahead when it comes to the technology found anywhere within the industry. I am immensely excited for what the future will bring for our product, the industry, and the impact we can have."
