This March was the first Restaurant Facility Management Association conference for 75F and was it ever a memorable one! Sunday morning, the 75F team kicked off the event with the RFMA Gives Fun Run, benefitting The Journey Home in Murfreesboro, TN. This non-profit organization assists the homeless and low-income citizens of Rutherford County by using practical day to day resources. The organization builds relationships with individuals, enabling them to become productive members of the community. They proudly serve over 42,000 meals a year and we were happy to be involved. So we set off with high spirits to make strides for a great cause.
Excitement and humidity filled the Nashville air that first morning and by the time we all completed the fun run, we felt like super heroes. It was the perfect start to a momentous event for 75F.
The RFMA event team was very passionate about helping us make the most of the conference. Many of the restaurateurs and vendors have been a part of RFMA for many years, so having a dedicated RFMA event team help us navigate the conference was of great service!
The conference’s events spanned three days, allowing four sessions that were dedicated to booth hours. During those times, we met with prospects, helping us gain insight into the restaurant business. After discovering some of the challenges that building and facility managers face, we learned how to better meet the needs of the restaurant business as a whole. In turn, we had the opportunity to present our product and were pleasantly met with great excitement in response.
We also had a lot of fun inviting attendees to play golf for prizes. The golf hole was a hit, resonating with much of the audience. We opted to integrate one of our smart, modulating dampers onto the green, which served as a nice conversation starter. This smart damper was controlled by the Central Control Unit located on our booth’s product display, allowing viewers to see how the interconnected devices worked firsthand.
Our CEO, Deepinder Singh, finished the event in spirited Nashville form, as he delivered a sound speech on the Internet of Things in orange cowboy boots. We were grateful to have Deepinder selected to deliver one of the first ever RIFF Talks. A RIFF Talk is simply the RFMA’s version of a TED Talk, where subject matter experts speak on a topic that is relevant to the audience. Click below to watch Deepinder's speech.
Thank you to all for the warm welcome! We appreciate everyone who worked so hard to make the event a success. We’ve secured our booth for next year and are already looking forward to it.
