Demand Response (DR) is the shifting or shedding of demand for electricity resources during times of electrical grid stress or when the price of electricity is high.
75F implements Open Automated Demand Response (OpenADR) standard Virtual End Node (VEN) as well a built in sequence of actions to defer HVAC demand. There is no custom programming required, allowing for an easy, affordable implementation.
Use the power of 75F's Global Policy Editor (GPE) to schedule DR events across the portfolio. For locations where the utility does not use the OpenADR 2.0 standard (a surprising amount especially co-ops and rural areas), facility managers can still schedule DR events remotely via our Facilisight portal.
The same scheduling paradigm allows the use of test events to tune the response of the building.
One of the biggest frustrations with DR is a lack of synchronization between the utility, facility manager and the users in the building. 75F's DR is built into the core of the system. That means all the apps, Central Control Unit (CCU) and portals update the current status is a DR event is in progress.
